Can Django do auto-admin for my PHP app's existing schema? -

I have an application in production with a sub-standard administrator interface. The app is written in PHP and supported by PostgreSQL.

I've tinkered with Django in a nutshell and am very much impressed with how easy Adobe Adroof is up and running.

Anyone else may have experience with Django, please comment:

  • Can I become an admin app for my current schema with an identical app? is? And if so, what would
  • would you recommend it / is there anybody available?

One catch I can see is that I will maintain two models: At the speed in one Python and one PHP, an admin interface can be found along-and-go with the dynamic, She makes it very attractive

Thanks Harry

You can create a site that can be created from an existing database Linked using the command of manage.py, and then adds administrator functionality to the resulting models.

I did not try it, but I used InspexBi output to access some PPBB table through the DEGENGO and it seems that it is working fine.

If the app's own admin interface is simpler than the CRUD (such as updating) denormalized fields in other tables and so on). Compared to reproducing these things in the new form, it may be less painful to improve the existing admin interface (to not mention its logic in the future).
