xen - XenServer vs VMware Infrastructure -

Does anyone have the experience of comparing Xen Server 5 and VMWare Infrastructure 3? I am planning on virtualization projects and looking at enterprise. Both versions offer both very comparable functionality, so are uncertain which is the best option.

Do anyone know of such a good site or article which compares these products?

Alternatively any of the following questions:

1) Is there a significant performance difference? 2) Whether there is any security risk or weaknesses in the package either.
3) Xen Server SDK seems easy to understand from VMware SDK. Anyone can have any experience of both and compare? Is there any shortage of SDK? 4) Any comments on client-side tools? They are both very similar to me, but is there anything missing?

Or other general comments and comments will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jamie

1) Important performance difference? XenServer is native 64 bit and uses paravirtualization, so its faster if you think in XenApp OS TS workload, you can add 50% more users per server

2) either in the package There is no security risk or vulnerabilities. XS does not have security issues, and as the hypervisor is small, there is no legacy code, in XS 4.0 there were only 4 updates or fixes in just one year, while VMware was one week per week.

3) The Xen Server SDK seems easy to understand from VMware SDK Has anyone has any experience and can compare them? Is there any shortage of SDK? Not used SDK, but AFAIK it is easy to use and is more open than VMWare, besides you have a powerful CLI and PowerShell

4) Any comments on client-side tools? Both of them look very similar to me, but are there any shortages? XenServer is simple and there is no need for a management server

... and ... its cheap
