resize - GTK: Resizing widgets contained in a textview -

I have a Gtk.TextView control, and I am inserting the child widget into it If the form is resized, I want to change the size of the children to fit the textview width. Is there an inherent way to do this? If not, can someone recommend a good way of writing to yourself?
