Pros and cons of MS Ajax vs. jQuery in an ASP.NET MVC app? -

Now when RC1 comes out, I'll have to decide once and for all whether the use of Ajax libraries Or just for JAXX requests The application is a new application basically the way I will decide whether it receives any important profit from Microsoft libraries or not that I will not get the jQuery I already have loads of jQuery Is happening and I'm worried about a few more file sizes

As far as I know - the only advantage is that Ajax. German form , but maybe it will work with jQuery anyway at some point? Even today, a government employee friend told me that there are so many bugs in the MS Ajax Library - which concerns me.

Now Microsoft will not be very worried with me in the future to leave jQuery in the dust by increasing its own library in anything.

I do not really know what exactly does MS Ajax actually do for me, what are some professional and opposition? Or is it just 90% bloat to support the 'update panel'?

I also find this book very interesting that MS Ajax leaves libraries and jumps directly into jQuery:

In this chapter the reader will check that web forms How to use AJAX technology ASP.Net MVC is implemented more seamlessly.

(from chapter on AAX)

Readers will see how to take advantage of an increasingly popular, lightweight Javascript library.

  • Is it easy to change the code between two libraries - Believing the relatively simple Ajax requirements?
  • Debugging in any library is especially better or faster
  • Anyone know that ASP.Net 4.0 is making progress and there is no declared plan for AJAX library that is MVC Can Be Beneficial?
  • In short, can MS AJX send a request for an MVC app and paste it into a DIV without pasting the response?
  • How can I do the equivalent of Ajax? Benefit (...) and use jQuery?
  • Your deal killer one way or the other?
  • What are the most people using?
  • Personally, I have to be with JQuery in case of MS AJAX size too It is heavy and you can do so with JQuery so far as this code is easy to change, so it depends on how much of the MS AJX stuff you are using. I do not think there is really much difference between debugging from one to the other. You will have a large community of jQuery users to pull resources.
