I used Visual Web Developer to open Website_A through direct web FTP, which was really good. Let me edit the files on my computer and then save them on the server so that I can see my changes right away, this is what I did with ultradeid on non-net site, but with the added benefit of Intelisence, Solution Explorer etc .
Anyway, this works well, but to open the same path I did when Website_B but both sites are on the same FTP server, despite the use of different user names and passwords, whenever I go to Website_B Even if I try to open, I still get the file of website_a.
Is there any problem opening up two separate sites that use the same FTP server? Is there a way around it? I tried to rename the project folders / files created in C: \ User \ George \ Document \ Visual Studio 2008 \ Projects, but he could not help. What was the best way to handle multiple sites with an FTP server by removing and starting only one thing project folders that seemed to work? I could not find anything on the web ...
Thanks,
George J.
If you are reaching the FTP server via DNS (in opposition to IP address) you probably You can use a subdomain that points to the same FTP server.
If DNS records are set up to allow for infinite subdomains, then you can connect to website A and website B.
Visual web developers should recognize that what appears on the FTP server, different servers will be different web sites when the folder is actually different in fact.
I do not have a visual web developer, so I can not test it, but Firefox can not tell that
