wcf data services - Substituting Astoria Payload? -

I would like to use data services to read data only on HTTP.

Actually, XML has the ability to provide different shape bits that filter by using filters in my DB, extension etc.

I do not really like the atom's 'Gopa', I know Jason is a bit lighter but what I really want to do is odd in my own serialization strategy.

Originally I thought that they have some more formats, I thought it would be easily extensible ... but I can not find anything on it.

Am I seeing the wrong place? Am I barking the wrong tree all together?

Data services are designed for a particular problem, it There is no POX on any general implementation, and I am sure it is to know how to move it in the same way.

This "Pox service" with "own roll" / WCF (), which can be a better starting point if you are wandering too much from data services.
