The question says all this! I'm using the option of blockUI for jQuery I was trying to focus a dialog box with blockUI in both Firefox and IE but there was no chance. It does not work I saw this question about focusing on a block UI dialog box, but it only works with Firefox.
dialog box, I switch to blockUI I think it's better.
