I'm wondering what other developers have done in this area.

What does your organization do to get the hierarchical view of your reporting structure? Have you written some custom or used a shrink-wrapped device? How can you integrate with other internal devices?

I use it for things like this.

In addition to being very fast to make charts, it places them in a literal form which can be kept under version control or can easily be compared to the previous ones.

For the wiki engine, for example, you can have the picture given in the wiki pages.
