I am considering starting my next project in C # / Mono / Combination.
The last time I did not pick a GTK because everything made with GTK was terrible, when I came for visual representation, then I am a part of the OCD. However, many applications (think, The VVMware Console) have proved my biased opinion wrong and have changed their view of immorality on GTK.
I came from the Win32 API, [CreateWindowEx] [2] was too much, the GWK # provides a great API of HWD but what if I need to go deeper (extension of control behavior etc.) Will it work against me or me?
I have never used Mono or GTK "Hey, it runs on Linux and Mac OS" My sticks are stuck in a mess and people like me (more likely to be) Generally simplified view There is love to be beaten by some understanding.
When should I start?
The biggest problem I have to face is the lack of good canvas control that you need For example, if you really want to create a good UI, for example, using a Cairo carrier, there is a whole group of custom controls written by Aaron Bonweller from scratch as it is flexible in this solution, GTK, Cairo And very deep knowledge of everything else Need However, GTK # and GTK + and expansion do not take Meri Ray as frustrating an eerie atmosphere and is very easy to make very quickly visually GUI with it.
