disparity mapping - Creating 3D Model then determine dimensions -

Is there a library that can take some digital images of the object and create 3D models of it.

For example, I ideally want a user to upload pictures of an object and to create a model, want to paint some things like Photosynth, then define the object's dimensions .

Thoughts?

What are you talking about in depth mapping, or 'inequality mapping', which is the basis There are libraries in the stereoscopic computer vision OpenCV project which do this. I do not know if they change directly into a rotating 3D object, which may be what you want, but they rarely come close.

Dimensions are a bit difficult to identify library objects, but this will give you only 'normal' dimensions. If you were using stereoscopic imaging with two cameras, you can determine the actual depth from many samples, and therefore the dimensions.

The problem is difficult, it is really difficult, otherwise (that is, impossible.)
