design - UML state of the art -

I am a fan of UML and use the False Book as a reference.

My question is: things have gone up in UML, what is the current 'art status', is there a better reference book for modern UML or a later version is also a good reference.

I will be less interested in 'proposed extension' and things are being considered by committees; In fact, I see what exactly the physicians are actually using, similarly with the material of the Faller Book. Tool support for Version 2.0 is good and it is intended to be used by them, so if you have a third version You have got a good start then you have got a good start.

'The state of the art' depends on what your area is?

For companies that are using the door forever, UML Equipment (Sparks Systems Enterprise Architect ) Needs support and integrated with the database of the door. Such support is used extensively in large projects. The concept of requirements came from the SysML extension, but you do not have to know SysML to use them.

Embedded systems use AMML tools with complete code generation from action semantics - defines verb what the methods do. Such tools produce complete codes rather than formal outline, which is generated on the device producing EA value points. If you want to see such devices, the artisan is now an independent single user version for download.
