I am working on a private project and I will be happy to finally say: "I have an X hour Expenditure ". One way to solve this is to use the manual time tracker (from: :) I have participated in problems with this because I manage to use it only for the first week or two continuously. That's why I want to track development time automatically.
I had an idea that was to include a brief script in the production process, which would include a time stamp in the log file each time a building process. Later, I can analyze the interval between each creation and hopefully calculate some exact picture of what is happening.
Does anyone else have any idea how such a tracking device can be implemented?
Instant follow-up based on the answers already given:
- Stop / start trackers are not bad, but many disciplines are required, I do some work Should on But they do not work for me.
- The specific app-tracking programs are great, but I'm currently on Mac OS X.
My opinion is that you have a lot of advantages in maintaining light weight development magazines. Can pick up. Designs, sketches, times, dates, etc., design. This is not the answer to your question, but it is a discipline that has some developers and one which they consider to be very important.
Life is busy and people should learn to track their time / budget and take discipline to take themselves to good behavior and habits.
I encourage you to fight and win this fight. When you improve your skills, do not do anything easy to automate if you have more profits. You can also look into life for some ideas.
A little bit of a non-answer, but I hope you find it useful.
