I need to install a test environment on my XPSP3 machine which runs Apache, MySQL, and PHP. My original test environment was an old box which runs those three under Win2k. The death of that box was not optimal to walk on windows because the last hosting environment is Santos Linux.
What is the most direct way to set up virtual machines on XP these days?
As a follow-up question, it is important for me to use the same kind of mess on my test environment because I do not want to test all my time tinkering with the environment. Deployment? I do not know CNNS at all, but I'm comfortable with Fedora or Ubuntu.
Free download and install one of the pre-built open source lamps VMS. In addition to the tool market, VM is also available in many places.
