On my Ubuntu Linux box, I can easily mount a USB connected drive or CDROM by clicking on desktop icons, which I get on desktop.
For example, if I click on the USB Connected drive icon Then the following things happen:
- A / media / LABEL directory is created automatically (where LABEL is labeled can be different in disk on disk)
- On device File Mounted on the system / media / LABEL
This process mount command exclusively:
- You do not need a root (Or you do not need to modify / etc / fstab to allow the user to mount the device)
- The / / media / LABEL directory is created automatically
- The name of the directory varies according to the volume label.
