Superscript in CSS only? -

How do I get a superscript, only in CSS?

I have a stylesheet where I have an external link with a superScript character, but I am getting a good time that the characters are correctly aligned.

What I currently have, looks like this:

  after a.external: [font-size: 50%; Vertical-alignment: top; Content: "+"; }  

But it does not work.

Naturally, I have & lt; Sup> -tag will only be allowed for content HTML ...
