I recently installed the MacPort port of Ruby 1 and this is my optical setting in the first place / local point I have changed to indicate USR / Local where I have my standard 1.8.7 installed.
I have tried updating my ~ / .profile, but export as usual PATH etc. As the last line, but to no avail. Every time I open a new terminal window / tab, then it needs to run the .profile file and it is increasingly becoming a royal father.
I am quite a lot of OS X, so someone can tell me in the right direction, please?
Is there a way to edit the environment? Is there a better way to do this? As a side topic (if such things are allowed), can a good resource recommend to know more about the internal functioning of OS X?
Thanks in advance.
Bash 'on Mac OS X' likes' .bash_profile 'instead of'profile'. Try it.
