model view controller - Is there a non-microsoft / open-source MVC framework for ASP.net? -

I have seen in the past that before MS dashes into something, there is already a pure community awareness for it is. . I'm talking about ALT Net and Open Source people here who have come up with the "MTS Entity Framework, we have NHibernate" I was just wondering if any MVC comes out of the framework which is not done by MS has been made.

Is there anyone? Is it the first time Microsoft's time to come up with something like this?
