We are going from ClearCase to TFS2008. I easily found the MS migration tool but it seems that it is targeted at TFS 2005. Any suggestions on other tools that can accomplish this?
When you use this migration tool, keep in mind:
- < Li> Initial branches of TFS and only the time-bound branches in clean-cages, which means that you need a config speake (clearly on the side) to reflect the files for a given branch (even if all the files No version has been made technically on that branch). Its a good way to label a imported branch in order to ensure a label (or basic better) on a compatible files (you want to import).
- You do not want to import the all cleaned versions of all files, but only one labeled, provided that you can label the all has been placed on the given set of files. It is easy with UCM because a baseline holds labels on all files of a component based on definition.
So if TFS2008 takes ClearCase labels / baslines for the migration script and is able to determine which branch / stream they are connected with, you are on the right track.
